A 156-kilometer fastball, a double and a walk, and stolen bases in four consecutive games… The turnaround started with ‘No. 1 hitter’ Kim Ha-seong.

San Diego Padres infielder Ha-seong Kim made the most of his leadoff role.

Kim went 1-for-4 with a home run, a walk, a stolen base, a double and two runs scored in the leadoff spot against the Miami Marlins on Sunday at Marlins Park in Miami, Florida. His season batting average remained at 2-for-4.

The team went on to win 10-1. Kim struck out swinging against Miami starter Jesus Rusardo in his first at-bat, but in his second at-bat, he stole second base on a wild pitch.

San Diego’s bats woke up in the third inning after Kim hit a 96.8-mile-per-hour (156 kilometers per hour) fastball into the left field seats for a two-run double.

After stealing second, Kim went on to steal third. He has now stolen a base in four straight games. It was Kim’s 10th stolen base of the season. Fernando Tatis Jr. followed with an RBI double to score Kim and tie the game at 1-1.

San Diego took a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly by Brandon Dixon.

Kim flied out to left field with two outs in the fifth and drew a walk with runners on first and third in the sixth to make it a two-out game. In the bottom of the eighth, he flied out to left field.

After scoring one run in the fifth to take a 3-1 lead, San Diego broke the game open in the sixth. The Dodgers scored seven runs.

The first batter, Tatis Jr. drew a walk and Juan Soto struck out. But after Tatis Jr. stole second, Xander Bogaerts doubled to right field to put runners on second and third.메이저사이트

Kim was next up, and after he drew a walk, Tatis Jr. came up to bat one spot in the batting order with the bases loaded and hit a three-run double to center field to make it 10-1.

Starter Joe Musgrove earned the win with six shutout innings.
