“He said he broke his finger”… Jung Soo-bin avoids being dropped from the first team.

“According to him, he said he’ll be fine in a day or two.”

Doosan Bears outfielder Jung Soo-bin (33) was removed from the starting lineup against the LG Twins in Jamsil on Monday due to a finger injury. Soo-bin suffered a broken finger while attempting to make a diving catch in defense against the Lotte Giants in Jamsil on July 27. Jeong tried to tee-bat while participating in training that day, but eventually stopped due to the poor condition of his finger.

Coach Lee said, “Jung Soo-bin broke his finger a little bit while sliding. I don’t know about defense, but he can’t hit. He tried tee-batting in practice, but eventually stopped,” Lee explained his physical condition.

Jung has been an integral part of the Doosan batting lineup. In 13 games in July, he batted .340 (16-for-47) with four RBIs and 10 runs scored, establishing himself as the irreplaceable No. 1 hitter. Doosan manager Lee Seung-yeop gave him a thumbs-up, saying, “He’s in such good (batting) shape right now that he has almost no weaknesses.”

The unexpected injury caught him off guard, but his recovery is not expected to take long. “As long as I don’t break any bones, I’m going to play,” Jung said.

“According to him, he sprained his finger once before, so he’s fine. I think it will only take a day or two,” Lee said, relieved.

Doosan’s starting lineup was Heo Kyung-min (third base), Kim Jae-ho (shortstop), Jose Rojas (right field), Yang Ji (catcher), Yang Suk-hwan (designated hitter), Kang Seung-ho (first base), Park Kye-beom (second base), Kim Tae-geun (center field), and Cho Su-hyun (left field). The starting pitcher is Raul Alcantara.

Center fielder Kim Jae-hwan was out of the starting lineup for the second straight day due to flu symptoms. In the absence of center fielder Jung Soo-bin, Kim Tae-geun will take his place, while Heo Kyung-min will bat first.온라인바카

Meanwhile, Doosan also removed pitcher Park Jung-soo from the first team roster and designated pitcher Kim Jung-woo for assignment. Park had pitched 3⅔ innings (three runs, one earned) in the team’s recent two-game losing streak, so the decision was made to give him a break from the second team and bring in a new pitcher.
