Season 2 winner Ko Jin-young returns as queen after seven months, regains world No. 1 ranking

Jin Young Ko, 28, has returned to the top of the women’s golf world rankings after a seven-month absence.

In the Women’s Golf World Ranking released on the 23rd, Ko’s rating of 8.26 was 0.12 lower than last week’s 8.38, but Nelly Coda (USA)’s points dropped from 8.40 to 8.25 to regain the top spot by 0.1 points.

The Women’s Golf World Ranking is based on the combined points earned in competitions over a two-year period. There were no additional points earned last week due to the absence of a U.S. Women’s Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour event, but the deletion of scores that are more than two years old changed the rankings for Ko and Koda.

Ko, who lost her No. 1 ranking in late October last year, slipped to No. 5 in February, then moved up to No. 3 after winning the HSBC Women’s World Championship in March, and regained her No. 1 ranking earlier this month after winning the Founders Cup.

With her return to the Queen’s Cup, Ko has now spent a total of 146 weeks in the world rankings, 12 weeks shy of Lorena Ochoa’s (MEX) record of 158 weeks.메이저사이트

Third-ranked Lydia Ko (New Zealand), fourth-ranked Lilia Boo (USA) and fifth-ranked Lee Min-Ji (AUS) remained in the rankings, while Kim Hyo-Joo (28) retained 10th place.

Sung Yoo-jin Sung, who won the Doosan Match Play Championship on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, on Sept. 21, moved up 19 spots to No. 85 from No. 104.
