Sungkyunkwan University’s Park Jong-ha proves his strong heart with ’22P+Cheongeum 3-pointers’

Senior Jong-ha Park led the team to the PO despite missing first-year starters.

Sungkyunkwan University senior Jong-ha Park (G, 187 cm) had a breakout game with 22 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals against Myongji University in the 2023 KUSF University Basketball League at Myongji University’s Natura Campus Gymnasium on Wednesday. Sungkyunkwan defeated Myongji 75-65 to advance to the POs.

Jong-ha showed off his hot fingertips in the first quarter, scoring eight points, including two three-pointers. On offense, he created chances through ball-less moves, and on defense, he harassed opponents with traps and full-court presses.

In the absence of Kang Sung-wook and Kim Yoon-sung, Jong-woo took on the role of the team’s ace, but he had a close call near the end. With just over three minutes left in the game, he missed an easy basket and turned the ball over on a breakaway.

With the score at 66-65, he made one of two free throws after being fouled by June Harrigan, and then hit a crucial three-pointer on the ensuing possession to seal the game.

“As a fourth-year player, I feel a lot of pressure and responsibility in clutch situations,” Jong-ha said. “I didn’t have (Kang) Sung-wook or (Kim) Yoon-sung, and I knew I had to step up when it mattered. I think that’s why I’ve been able to score important goals in recent games.”메이저사이트

“The coach and teammates are trusting me, and I’ve been given more roles. Now that we have secured a spot in the POs, I will try to overcome the pressure and do better,” he said.

It is worth noting the growth of Park Jong-ha, who is raising his stock by performing brilliantly every day ahead of the rookie draft. Jong-ha has already set his sights on the main stage of the University League.
